A little unloading

For those of you who really don't know me I just really need to talk about this. 20 years ago un January my FIL was murdered. The men who did it pleaded diminished capacity because they were on drugs. We asked for a Jury trial for them but the district attorney did what is called Judge Shopping until he found a judge who would agree to the plea bargain deal. Well these 2 were sentenced to 25 to life. I just had the worst week of my life. Tom and I had to go home to a parole hearing for these 2 monsters. We had to relive the murder and we had to look at these guys once again. They used the typical Jailhouse talk but hopefully the parole board saw thru them, I really think they did but one never knows. so now we wait 6 to eight weeks to hear if these 2 monsters will be released into society to wreak havoc on another family. You know its tough when a parent dies of natural causes but you can't even belive how it feels when a parent is taken from you by another man's hands. I just need to get this off my chest and I didn't know where else to do it. Thank You for listening to me rant But I can't believe this judiscal system and if anyone is interested the case made us news and report back in 1989. You guys are the best for listening to me and I promise now I will create things.

wow, that is terrible, sorry to hear about that. My DH's cousin was murdered, he was only 21 and newly married (about a few months) and the guy was imprisoned for a LONG TIME. However the best thing is that his mom (DH's aunt) felt she needed to forgive the man & with God's help was able to. She reached out to him and he gave his life to Christ. I'm not telling you this because I feel it's what you should do, just telling you what happened in my husband's family. It was (and remains) hard to deal with the fact this young man had a whole life to live and was such a wonderful person. I'm sure your FIL was too. ((HUGS))
