Going away

So I am going away on Friday. I will head to Massachusetts for my older sisters wedding where I am her matron of honor, On Sunday I will be heading out to Las Vegas and a quick visit to lake tahoe and hoover dam. I will be back on Saturday. I am bringing my laptop but don't know how much time I can spend on it in and I promise when I am back there will be more cards to post. Well I had to try this because everyone else is doing it. Mine isn't as extravagent as most of them but for my first try it isnt bad, I used certainly celery cs and old olive ink and a floral wheel. and of course te\he ribbon is from one of Jody Morrows swaps. JT"s Sept rak

I joined Jens Rak club this month (pieces of me) and this is what I got from Rita over at Ritaslittlecorner.blogspot.com. You have to check out her blog she is very talented. Isn't this a great Rak. It has paper, Ribbon, acrylic stamps and a beautiful crisscross card using baroque motiffs. She did a fantastic job and I am so lucky that i was chosen to be rak'd by Rita. Another card with my new GinaK Stamps

Have I told you that I love this set. You can absolutely use it for anything. The only color su cs I can remember the color is is very vanilla and the other colors are old su colors. I used my cuddlebug to emboss on of the mats and I added a couple of brads. I also used su water color pencils and blender pens. I actually did this card a few days ago and just never took a picture until tonight. Thanks for stopping by

Another card with Gina K's stamps for a cause

I just love these stamps from Ginak's stamps for a cause. I just made this card just for general purposes. I guess you guys must think I am on a roll because I have posted more in the last couple days then I have in ages. I guess I have been in a funk. I used some old su cs and some glitter pack paper. Stamps are ginak's stamps for a cause. Did I tell you I love this set. I did the flower in Marvy markers on the flower. I added a couple of prima's. Be honest and tell me what you think. Birthday Card

I mentioned earlier that I needed to get off and make a Birthday card and I did. It was for someone who turned 70 today. He is one of the few "Yankee's" that I know here in North Carolina and he is a pretty funny man. well any way I used my new GinaK stamps for a cause. I used my su water color pencils and my blender pens. I used ww cs and some older su shades of blue that I had been hoarding. I added a Prima and a brad and of course ribbon from one of Jody Morrows ribbon swaps. I think I like these new stamps for a cause, These are very versatile and can be used for almost any card you need to come up with. Thanks for stopping by.

Anniversary Card to My husband

Seventten yrs ago sept 8th I finally said I do. Tom had asked me several yrs to marry him but I was afraid because the first marriage was so bad. well After nine yrs together I finally said yes and seventeen years later I would say yes again. My husband Tom is a real keeper. Anyway I used the splitcoast tutorial for this crisscross card. I used an old su color as well as chocolate chip cs and stella ruby cs. I used the doodle that heart and the sentiment inside is from su. the band on the front of the card is some glitter paper I found at If it's Paper and the ribbon is from one of Jody Morrow's ribbon swaps. I think the band should have been a different color but I couldn't change it because he will be home soon. Thanks for stoppin in and any comments or ideas would be appreciated.

Think snow..............Yeah right

I kind of like how this turned out. I used su's a tree for all seasons and I used cb snowflake embossing folder and then I took a silver ink pad I had and ran it over the embossed cardstock. I used su's watercolor pencils and my blender pens to color in the image. The scalloped squares were sent to me by Sara Paschal. You should check out her blog its great. The ribbon is from one of Jody Morrows ribbon swaps and the sentiment was a chipboard word I had hanging around waiting to be used. Thanks for stopping by

Bad Blogger managed a birthday card.

Ok so it was Cheryl's birthday and I had to make her a card. She would not have liked it if I bought her a card. check out her blog at Cheryl's stamps and scraps she is pretty talented. Anyway I used the future floor wax and pearlex technique and I used the delight in life flowers. I used stickles in the flowers in the rectangle. The sentiment is from stamping up and the wording inside is something I had that I don't remember where it came from. and the paper is su's. Cheryl liked her card when she got it. Thanks for stopping and I am sorry I haven't been posting I have just been in some kind of funk. I did finish my cards for the christmas swap I am in. I can't post them yet because some of you are in the swap also.
