Hi! I just signed your guestbook. The dumbest scrapbooking thing I've ever done is put 12 photos that were cut up into 1" squares through a laminator. I thought it was a sticker maker, but instead they were laminated all goofy and I spent 4 hours peeling the lamination off the photos! Thanks!

The dumbest thing I ever did (and I hate to admit to this) was shortly after Jerry and I were married, I took our car, a 1966 Plymouth Road Runner (my DH's pride and joy) and got gas. But it wasn't that simple--I ran right into the side of the gas pump with the car and scratched it the entire side. To make matters worse, when I got home, I didn't tell him and he had to find it out by seeing it himself. He was very mad at me. It is a wonder that we will be celebrating our 38th anniversary this year!! I have a terrific husband.
Thanks for the blog candy Kathy, and congrats on the hits. I only wish I were that popular.

Hmm... hard to decide...

I think one of them would be that I sent the sympathy card to a friend who had a birthday and a bday card to the friend that needed the sympathy card. The bday girl played it off and that was fine, but no so much for the other... :P

I think I'm first. How did that happen. The dumbest thing I did is when I was about 15 I called my school pretending to be my mom saying I was at a dentist and would not be at school that day. When the secertary asked what dentist I (in a panic because I didn't know my dentist name) replied "the one in the big brown bilding downtown". Sad I know. Needless to say I didn't fool anybody. I could not find where to sign your guess book, but thought I'd share my storie anyways.

Hmmm, stupidest thing I have ever done??? Well, I think that the list is much too long however I can think of one recently. I picked up some friends from the airport and we went to A&W to get some eats. They were in Vegas and were up all night. It was a cold day in Calgary and when we attempted to leave a half hour later I couldn't find my keys! It turns out that I had left the keys in the car with it running and had locked the doors!! Needless to say it was a nightmare getting back into the car ... and I have been teased about it ever since.

Well, there was the time when I was waitressing and sprayed some really rude lady with her own bottle of tonic water. It really was an accident. Really.

Hmmmmmmm...well, I already signed the guest book...dumbest thing...that I'm willing to mention on the internet. haha. Oh I know. This just happened. A friend of ours moved across town. And as thank you for helping, they had all the guys and their wives over for pizza the next week. We showed up on their door step on Friday with a housewarming gift...ready to have some pizza. Only to find out that the invite was for SATURDAY. So, DH and I went out to eat since we already had a babysitter. And then were lucky enough to get another babysitter the next night to go to our friend's house!

Man, dumbest?? That's a tough one.
One of the dumbest is sprain my ankle because I was trying to walk and talk and then 2 months later, sprain the other, again trying to walk and talk. Duh!!

Dumbest thing I ever did happened when I did a Christmas card swap this past year. It was 2 days before the due date, did all my cards assembly line fashion. I was down to the final layers - which included the carefully stamped image layer. I was happily cranking them through my Xyron machine, elated that I was almost done. Until ... I cut them off the machine --- and discovered that all 40 card pieces were LAMINATED! I forgot to check which cartridge was in the Xyron. Who can top that??

I went to take a shower and the water kept rising and rising. I was like, great the drain is backed up. I turned off the water and heard none of it draining, so I grabbed the toilet plunger and started plunging away, with no success!! I call DH and he said "Pour in some draino stuff." Did it and let it sit for a while. When DH came home he broke a sweat plunging. Come to find out, there was nothing wrong with the drain. I accidentally flipped up the drain stopper (out of habit from giving baths, I have four children). My DH was aggravated and I felt foolish!! It was still funny though!!

OK, this is our family joke. When I was still in High School we were driving to another town. I was in the back seat eating an apple and when I was finished I was going to toss out the core. Rolled down the window and tossed it out. SMACK!! At the exact moment another car went by and I hit them. I couldn't have done that if I tried!

Sorry, but I laughed so hard at your post I snorted Diet Coke out of my nose, so after I cleaned it up, I came back to comment! That's hilarious!! The dumbest thing I've done is probably sit on a paint can lid, I also sat on an inked stamp once and got a very nice imprint on my white shorts!

i left my comment on the guest book but to be sure I'll leave it here. I decided to surprise my husband who was spending the week at Boy Scout Camp by painting our bedroom a sand color...turned out to be pepto bismol pink. But there was NO time to change it. so I raced and framed every counted cross stitch piece, grabbed my friend a florist who arranged all sorts of things to cover the walls. My husband hates pink. The walls didn't last long pink, I'll tell you.

STUPID.

The dumbest thing I've done? Well, I left my kids in the van to drop books in the book drop at the library (two steps from my vehicle). Thing was, the van was on, the keys were obviously still in the ignition ... and I LOCKED THE DOORS!! Freaked me right out. I couldn't get to my kiddoes. Never done that again.

The dumbest thing I ever did?? Boy that's a tough one since I have done so many pretty dumb things.

I guess the one that comes to mind is when I stood talking to someone I thought that I knew and carrying on a conversation only to have it turn out that I didn't know them at all. They probably thought I was nuts. I think we've all done that or am I the only one. lol

The dumbest thing I have ever done...yeesh, there are so many!

When I had Tristan, I had an epidural early on in my labour (since he had to be induced and I had to have an antibiotics IV too). I was on my back for close to ten hours. A couple of hours after Tristan was born, a nurse came to tell me she was going to help me go to the bathroom in 15 minutes. Well I thought "No way, I can go pee on my own". So I got up, legs still frozen, and immediately fell on the floor. Well, it looked like there had been a homicide in that room! My DH just sat there laughing because he knew I was just being pig-headed and determined to do it on my own. The nurses ran in to see what the commotion was all about and thankfully did not give me crap since DH was having quite the little laugh-fest of his own. I did get the last laugh though since I threw him a towel and told him to clean up while the nurses dealt with me!

I've done a bunch of dumb stuff, the one that sticks out in my mind is putting the cereal in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard.

Okay ... I've done lots of dumb things in my life! Most recently - I locked myself out of the house! I was able to cut open the screen on the back porch and slide back into the house through the sliding glass door that was open. Stupid part of it! I closed the sliding glass door, locked it and went back outside! I had locked myself out for a SECOND time that day and this time couldn't go back through the sliding door. I had to call a locksmith!

The dumbest thing I have done? Sheesh, where do I begin? Here's one of many: My first time at the gynecologist, I fell off of the exam table in front of the doctor and his nurse. I didn't realize that my behind was so far off of the table, and when I sat up, I started to fall off the table. My gynecologist caught me just in time, though. Man, talk about DUMB.

Dumbest things I've ever done (OK one of them anyway) was trying to dispose of my son's expired Epi-Pen and injecting it into my thumb! The needle hit bone and my husband had to yank it out for me. Then I had the shakes for about 15 minutes until all the adreneline wore off. Thank goodness it was only a youth dosage!

Stupidest thing I have done? Maybe quit my job.....I didn't like it so I quit and now I am without work. Hrmph...go figure.

Hi! Probably the dumbest thing I ever did was when I was 18 and applied for a job at a "massage parlor". Yup, naive me really thought that all I had to do was rub necks for $50.00 an hour. I got the job and five minutes later QUIT the job.

OK, first off congrats on 1,000 hits! And thanks for posting this hysterical question, as I really needed a laugh today. Most of my stories are more about me being such a phenomenal klutz, but I've had plenty of dumb moments, too!

I think my crowning moment was my one attempt at illegal activity - I've always collected coca-cola memorabilia, and my college roommate spotted a great sign hanging at a local gas station, so we decided it would make a great addition to our dorm room. Well, we didn't stop to think that this gas station wasn't in the best part of town, so the cops patrolled in quite frequently. I hadn't even managed to cut a single string when they pulled into the lot - I was terrified because I just knew that I was going to be locked up and I'd never be able to get a decent job due to my criminal record. Of course they let us go with a stern talking to, but I think I was still shaking for 2-3 hours.

Signed your guest book...now the dumbest things I've ever done? Now that is a hard thing to decide on....I think it was when I was driving with my boyfriend to the Florida Keys from NJ. We had been up for almost two days and I was exhausted. He was telling me about Key Deer and I was all excited, apperently they are smaller deer than we have in NJ. He was going on and on about them and he said they had red eyes, my responce was...Really? Wow? When can we see one...they do not have red eyes. Silly me, too excited it seems.

I have done a lot of dumb things. One of the youngerst but longest lasitng ones is I got up on top of my roof with my friend when we were teeneagers. We wanted to see the city from high up (trees now block everything) so we sat up there for hours and just waved at every one and laughed. A storm blew up and we had to come down. BUt I got scared-going up was easier than going down. It was storming and the fire department was called to help me. I am now so afraid of heights, I will not go up on a two footed step stool. If I am upstairs in my house, I am afraid to look out the windows withut holding on to the wall and I never open the window either-because I think I might fall out. What started out as fun had affected me for about 40 years now. sigh.

The dumbest thing that I've ever done was to faint when my boob was in the mammogram machine! I was actually having the mammogram just before surgery to remove a small lump. From being anxious and not eating since midnight the night before, I began to feel faint and down I went! When I came around I was on the floor looking up at the doctor and 2 nurses. Luckily I told the doctor that I was feeling faint and he released the machine just as I fainted!

Hi! Just signed your guest book! How cool is that?

dumbest thing is well mmmmmmmm, getting in the left hand turn lane before the white line and ending up with a ticket for $110 from the Magistrate because he didn't dismiss the aledged improper passing ticket. ugh!
